Watertaxi Hoorn started in 2011 as a cab service across the water. Soon round trips were also requested, and the activities were expanded with various tours. Meanwhile, the organization of Bram Nijenhuis and his fantastic team of staff and volunteers is a household name within Hoorn. The fleet consists of three luxury electrically powered sloops, a classic Bakdekker from 1933 for longer tours, as well as a number of smaller whisper boats.
During a canal cruise Hoorn you will see some of the city’s most important monuments. We pass, among others, the ‘Hoofdtoren’, the ‘Houten Hoofd’, the ‘Oostereiland’, the ‘Vismarkt’, the ‘Oude Doelende’, the ‘Karperkuil’ and the ‘Turfhaven’.
